Molai Forest मोलाई वन

There is a forest in India called Molai Forest. Which is a forest located in Majuli district on the Brahmaputra river near Kokilamukh in the state of Assam. This forest has an area of approximately 1360 acres i.e. 550 hectares. It is named Molai Forest after the Indian environmentalist and forestry activist Jadhav Molai Payeng. An initial 200 hectares (500 acres) were planted and abandoned by the Social Forestry Department of Golaghat district in 1983. After which Jadav Molai Payeng alone planted this forest to about 1360 acres with 30 years of hard work. Jadav Molai Payeng planted and preserved trees on the sandbar of Majuli Island in the Brahmaputra River, which eventually became the Molai Forest.

भारत में एक जंगल है जिसे मोलाई वन कहा जाता है। जो असम राज्य में कोकिलामुख के पास ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी पर माजुली जिले में स्थित एक जंगल है। इस जंगल का क्षेत्रफल लगभग 1360 एकड़ यानि 550 हेक्टेयर है। इसका नाम भारतीय पर्यावरणविद् और वानिकी कार्यकर्ता जाधव मोलाई पायेंग के नाम पर मोलाई फ़ॉरेस्ट रखा गया है। 1983 में गोलाघाट जिले के सामाजिक वानिकी विभाग द्वारा शुरुआती 200 हेक्टेयर (500 एकड़) को लगाया और छोड़ दिया गया था। जिसके बाद अकेले जादव मोलाई पायेंग ने 30 साल की मेहनत से लगभग 1360 एकड़ में इस जंगल को लगाया। जादव मोलाई पायेंग ने ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी में माजुली द्वीप के सैंडबार पर पेड़ लगाए और संरक्षित किए, जो अंततः मोलाई वन बन गया।

The forest is home to Bengal tigers, Indian rhinoceros, more than 100 deer and rabbits besides monkeys and a large number of vultures. A herd of about 100 elephants visit the forest regularly every year and usually stay for about six months.

यह जंगल बंगाल के बाघों, भारतीय गैंडों, 100 से अधिक हिरणों और खरगोशों के अलावा बंदरों और बड़ी संख्या में गिद्धों का घर है। लगभग 100 हाथियों का झुंड हर साल नियमित रूप से जंगल में आता है और आमतौर पर लगभग छह महीने तक रहता है।
