India is well known for its hot and spicy food. The spices here have a distinct taste and that taste varies from place to place across India. And different places are known for different dishes. So all over India, all the dishes are delicious but here I am showing some dishes which make the dish more famous in its place. like,
1 - Tamil Nadu
Everyone knows the famous dish of South India. Especially idli, dosa, puda etc. In which if we talk about the special dish of Tamil Nadu,
1. Sambhar - Sambhar is a significant part of almost every meal in Tamilian households. Sambhar is consumed from breakfast to large ceremonies. The taste of Sambhar is so delicious. Vegetables are also added to sambhar to make it tasty and nutritious.
2. Idli - It is impossible to talk about South India and the name Idli does not come up. Idli is a nutritious and delicious dish that is famous all over India. Idli is made with a ground mixture of soaked rice and white dal. Which is best to eat for breakfast. Idli is enjoyed with sambhar and coconut chutney.
3. Dosa - Like Idli, Dosa is a famous dish in South India as well as all over India. There are many types of dosa available across the country. Most of the dosas are paper- thin and like all other Tamil Nadu food they are made by mixing urad dal and rice. Such dosas are served in a cone shape with some chutney and sambar. Similarly, other types of dosas are made in the same way but with additional ingredients added as per their name.
4. Lemon Rice - Lemon Rice is a delicious dish and very easy to make. Cooked rice is made by adding tomatoes, red chilli, lemon. Groundnuts are also added to make it crunchy. Lemon Rice is a very delicious dish.
2 - Hyderabad
1. Hyderabadi biryani - If we talk about the dish of Hyderabad, the first name that comes is Hyderabadi Biryani. Hyderabadi Biryani is an iconic dish. It is usually made with mutton, but chicken biryani is also delicious. It is made with a unique combination of spices and tender chicken pieces. Vegetarians are also made for vegetarians called Qabuli Biryani.
2. Haleem - A list of Hyderabadi dishes is incomplete without Haleem. Brought to the city by the Nizam, this dish is still popular. Mostly made from mutton and spices and wheat. Everyone queues up to get a fair share of this delicious dish.
3. Khubani Ka Meetha - Khubani ka meetha is a very popular dessert. The dessert is topped with blanched almonds or apricot kernels, and is traditionally garnished with malai and also with custard or ice cream.
3 - Maharashtra
1. Pav Bhaji - Pav Bhaji is made by boiling potatoes, peas, tomatoes and other vegetables and mashing them. Different prepared spices are available in different places in India. Pav Bhaji is very famous in Mumbai. Pav Bhaji is the most popular dish found in hotels and restaurants. From a small child to an adult, everyone loves pav bhaji.
2. Vada Pav - Vada Pav is famous in Gujarat and many other states along with Maharashtra. Vada pav is a very tasty dish. Vada Pav is easily found. Vada made of potato is pressed between pavs and eaten with chutney. Everyone likes to eat vada pav even from small children to adults.
3. Misal Pav - Misal pav is a popular dish of Maharashtra. It includes pav and misal which is a spicy curry made from beans. Sev, onion, lemon and coriander are added to it. Missal pav is known for its high spice content and unique taste.
4. Poha - Poha, also known as Pauwa and many other names. This is flattened rice. The rice is steamed before being flattened so that it can be eaten with little or no cooking. It absorbs water, milk or any other liquid. It is usually used to prepare breakfast or light and easy fast food. In Maharashtra, flat rice is cooked with lightly fried mustard seeds, turmeric, green chillies, finely chopped onions and fried peanuts. There is also a Kanda Pauha type of dish which is boiled potato, onion, mustard seeds, turmeric and small pieces of red chillies mixed with soaked and sifted rice and served hot.
4 - Gujarat
Gujarat is well known for its diverse and delicious food. In Gujarat, you can eat spicy dishes. You can find different types of spicy dishes in Gujarat. If we talk about Gujarat, the first name that comes to mind is,
1. Khaman - Khaman is made from freshly ground gram dal or gram flour. Ingredients like asafoetida and chilies are used to add flavor. Khaman is one of the most popular breakfast dish in Gujarat. Khaman enjoys eating it with his green chutney. You can eat it in the morning with tea, as breakfast or whenever you feel hungry and feel like it.
2. Thepla - You must have heard the name of Thepla from the Gujarati or the name of Thepla must have come along with Gujarati in a Bollywood movie. Thepla is made with wheat flour, gram flour, fenugreek and other spices. Thepla is eaten with curd, with garlic chutney and in Gujarat it is also eaten with mango pickle. You can eat thepala for breakfast or as a side dish with a meal or as a late afternoon snack.
3. Undhiyu - Undhiyu is seen in winter. It is made by incorporating vegetables available on the coasts of South Gujarat including Surat, Navsari and Valsad. This dish is traditionally cooked underground in clay pots called "Matalu". Undhiyu with puri and srikhand is mostly eaten in Gujarati households in winter.
5 - Rajasthan
Rajasthani dishis is influenced by its arid climatic conditions. Despite the low availability of vegetables and fruits, the food there is very tasty. Less availability of vegetables and fruits makes the dishis there different from other dishis in India. Rajasthani cuisine uses pulses, corn, barley, millet etc.
1. Dal Bati - Rajasthani Dal Bati is very famous. It is a traditional delicacy of the state of Rajasthan. Dal bati is also made on special occasions. Dal Bati is popularly eaten with Churma. Daal is made using pulses such as tuveer dal, gram dal, mung dal etc. Baati is made from wheat flour. While churma is made from ground wheat flour, millet flour and sometimes sweet savory semolina.
2. Mirchi bada - Mirchi bada is a hot spicy dish. It is made with chillies and potatoes. It is eaten with chutney. Mirchi Bada of Jodhpur, Rajasthan is very famous.
6 - Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh has mouth-watering dishes. The cuisine of Madhya Pradesh varies regionally. Wheat is more common in the north and rice is more popular in the south. The food here is full of flavor. Delicious and healthy food is eaten in Madhya Pradesh.
1. Palak Poori - Palak Puri is one of the popular dishes of Madhya Pradesh. Spices are mixed with wheat flour. It is served with aloo sabzi and raita. Palak puri is served for breakfast or lunch.
2. Daal Bafla - Dal Bafla is one of the famous dishes. Dal Bafla is also a mouth watering dish similar to Rajasthan's famous Dal Bati. Bafla flour is boiled in turmeric water and then fried. Dal baflas are very famous in many areas in Madhya Pradesh.
7 - Punjab
Punjabi dishes is popular all over India. Punjabi dishes rule the hearts of all food lovers. If we talk about Punjabi dishes, the first name is,
1. Sarso ka Saag and Makki di Roti - Sarso ka Saag and Makki di Roti This is a really delicious dish. It will find a distinct popularity in India. From its name you must have understood how it is made. Saag is prepared in the traditional way and served with makki roti, bajra roti or even wheat roti. It is served with butter or ghee.
2. Chhole Bhature - Chhole Bhature is one of the famous dishes of Punjab. This dish is found in every corner of Punjab. Chole Bhature is often eaten as a breakfast dish. It is eaten as street food or as a full meal. Chole is prepared by cooking chickpeas and adding spices like cumin, coriander powder, turmeric powder and chilli powder and bhatura is made from flour. It is also served with onion, pickle or green chutney.
3. Amritsari Kulcha - Amritsari Kulacha is known for its spicy taste and crispy taste. Kulcha is made from menda. It is eaten with any Indian curry. This dish is available in numerous variants like Aloo Kulcha, Masala Kulcha, Paneer Kulcha etc.
4. Amritsari Kulcha - Punjabi Lassi is a popular drink in India. Lassi is made from curd. Cardamom is often added to it. Variations of lassi can be prepared in different ways. Cream or white butter is added to make it tastier.
Apart from this there are many other dishes in India but I have written the some dish which makes its own region famous. Different cuisines in different regions of India maintain their traditional method of preparation. The dish I mentioned above is famous all over India along with its region.
